Hypnosis empowers you to bring about the changes you desire in your life. By relaxing your conscious, or critical mind, it allows us to work directly with the subconscious mind where real change takes place quickly. The mind is relaxed and ready to learn; becoming much more susceptible to suggestion.
Hypnosis uses guided relaxation, intense concentration and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness. A Hypnotist guides concentration on one small thing to the exclusion of everything else which achieves selective thought in the subconscious and then a suggestion is given to create positive change.
Hypnosis allows us to change our subconscious and help us achieve specific goals. An example of this would be beliefs your subconscious has about eliminating weight. Maybe you think releasing weight is impossible. Rigid diets that make you give up your favourite foods, or you don't have enough time to exercise, or healthy foods are difficult to prepare. These subconscious thoughts, shaped by memories or experiences, drive your conscious actions with negative self talk, smoking or overeating. Through hypnosis, we can create positive change by training our minds to think differently about desires, outcomes and goals, we can eliminate the negative thoughts that so frequently lead to self-sabotage.
Your conscious mind is the logical, critical thinking portion of your mind. During hypnosis, your conscious mind relaxes and you can access your subconscious, which controls over 90% of our lives. Positive suggestions during your session can create lasting change assisting you in reaching your goals.
Before each session your hypnotist will ask you how things in your program are going. What's working and what isn't working assists the hypnotist in making each individual session work best for you. Suggestions to aid you in achieving your goal will be tailored specifically to you as you progress through your program to achieve your goals. The session can take anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes depending on the client's needs.
Almost anything is possible and can be accomplished if the client is ready and willing.
